The rehabilitation of a residential building on Rua Franklim, which connects with Rua das Cortes Reais in Lisbon, aims to consolidate the interventions that compromised its original design. The alignment of the façades will serve as the basis for defining the volumetry, which will include semi-external staircases enclosed in a semi-transparent skin composed of micro-perforated metal panels. This projecting volume, which appears to levitate, becomes a distinctive architectural object, symbolising the building’s new identity.
